Where Coffee Meets People

We have spent years listening to and learning from planters in Coorg’s — but on this journey, something shifted.

Even though Coorg may look like a small dot on the map, its coffee landscape is anything but small. Over two days, we drove over 400 kms, meeting eight incredible estate owners — some backed by generations of knowledge, others built by first-generation planters fueled purely by passion. And yet, none of them had received the spotlight their work deserves.

So we decided to open up our platform as their marketing channel to help take their coffees to a larger coffee-loving audience. That’s how Friends of Riverside was born.

We’re launching Coffees of Coorg not just as a series of coffee estates— but as a love letter to the land, the people, and the art of coffee cultivation. From wildlife-adjacent plots to ancestral homes, and from cutting-edge processing units to untouched forest belts, each coffee carries its own character. Distinct terroirs, processing techniques, varietals, and stories — but all authentically Coorg.

Through this initiative, our hope is simple: to bring you the most honest expression of Coorg’s coffee. Direct from the planters, meticulously processed, and full of flavour.

What Makes Coffees of Coorg Special?

  • Diverse altitudes and terrains, from misty hills to jungle-lined slopes
  • Varied processing styles: Washed, Naturals, Honey
  • Arabica, Robusta and unique hybrids like CXR & Peridinia
